Exhibition The Golden Coach
On Thursday 17 June 2021, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander officially opened the exhibition The Golden Coach in the Amsterdam Museum. After a restoration of more than five years, the Golden Coach can be seen again for the first time to the public.
In addition to the construction and development of the air-conditioned glass housing, Kloosterboer was also responsible for the interior construction of the exhibition. Hundreds of cultural-historical objects, paintings, Orange baubles, clothing, cartoons, photos and moving images provide a multifaceted picture of the history and use of the Golden Coach, and the discussions of the past and present about this iconic vehicle. This exhibition highlights diverse perspectives on this controversial riding heritage. The Amsterdam Museum also invites visitors to share their views. They can also make an alternative Golden Coach with augmented reality.
